They say insanity is doing the same thing time and time again and expecting a different result. It just won’t happen. You want to gain muscle, you want to lose those fat areas, but you still hit up fast food five times a week, and order pizza every other night.
If you truly want change when it comes to how you look and feel, you’ve got to do different things. You can’t do the same things you’ve always done and expect things to be different. It won’t just happen.
Change is often times scary, at least we pretend in our minds that it is. We get inside our little bubbles and get in our daily life routine. We go to work, we watch the same shows, eat the same food, go to bed at the same time.
Don’t get me wrong, routine is good, when it’s healthy routines, but if you are looking to make a change, you’ve got to begin to function differently and create new routines. You’ve got to find a time that works to exercise and do that every day. You’ve got to stop ordering the fast food, or the restaurant food, and no the “healthy” options on that restaurant menu are not really healthy.
You have to change the way you think, and change what you do in order to change the way you look and feel. It’s as simple as that. So stop saying one day, stop saying you hope you get in shape this year. It’s not a 50/50 shot, as in, maybe it will happen and maybe it won’t, it’s only going to happen if you change what you do and start working.
So bring on the change and take it on.
