Building A Fitness Routine

When it comes to your fitness goals and gaining lean muscle or getting stronger, there are lots of different factors that come into play such as food, your workouts, recovery drinks etc, but there is one thing that is the glue that holds everything together. Routine. If you follow my videos or writings you know that I preach on routine a lot! There’s a reason for this.

Routine is the number one key to success in my opinion. Do you have to eat right, prep food, and get to the gym? Of course! But the thing that keeps you going, and keeps you on track is routine.

So how do you start getting in routines? Well it doesn’t happen overnight. For starters pick two things that you need to do to develop healthy patterns. For instance let’s say you need want to get up early and go to the gym. Awesome. Now we build the routine.

The night before have everything ready, your gym clothes laid out, your workout shake ready to go.

Next, put your phone across the room so you have to get up and go get it. Then stick a post it note on your phone that says you deserve this.

No matter what stick to that habit. There will be days where you don’t want to and that’s okay. Do it anyway. The more you do this the more routine it will become and you won’t have the daily fight in your mind of whether you should stay in bed or get up. From there begin to build more routines.
